Our History

 

Battle Hardened.

Towle Inc. is a modern firearms company focused on producing the highest quality products for today's professional, competitive, and recreational shooter. Towle Inc. was built on three generations of war hardened US Marines. We are the result of real world combat experiences learned in the jungles of Central America, the jungles of the South Pacific, the hills of the Korean Peninsula, the jungles of Viet Nam, and the deserts of Iraq / Afghanistan.

 


Sargent Roy Parker, USMC

Sargent Roy Parker, USMC

Sargent Roy Parker, USMC enlisted in 1927 and saw action in Nicaragua during the "Banana Wars". He was detailed as a Captain in the La Guardia de National, and served as the unit commander until his return to the United States.


Captain Fred Towle, USMC

Captain Fred Towle, USMC

Captain Fred Towle, USMC (Retired) enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1941, he assaulted the beaches of Guadalcanal in 1942 and served in campaigns from Bougainville, through Guam, ending at Iwo Jima. He later saw action during the Korean War, as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal specialist, being one of the last Marines to leave the Chosen after destroying the ammunition dump. He received a purple heart during the battle of Guam and received his commission in 1954. Although a Rifle Exert with the M1 Garand, the 1903 Springfield, and 1911 pistol, his favorite was the 1903 Springfield.

Captain Joe Towle, USMC (Retired) enlisted in 1962, he was deployed to Viet Nam in 1967 as a Staff Sergeant where he fought in battles with the 2nd Battalion 9th Marines of the 3rd Marine Division while serving his 1st of two tours. He was wounded during operations around the DMZ and was awarded a battlefield commission for action during Operation Buffalo 4. After returning as an A-4 "Scooter" pilot he flew missions during Operation Rolling Thunder and close air support for Marine ground forces. His weapon of choose on the ground is the Winchester M97 shotgun and the 1911a1, later to be replaced by the 500 lb. MK82 in air operations He is an Expert rifle and pistol shooter.

Lt. Colonel Jon Towle, USMC

Lt. Colonel Jon Towle, USMC received his commission in 1997, and proceeded directly to flight school, where he was assigned to the AH-1W Super Cobra. During his first tour in Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was part of the initial push into Iraq. During his second deployment to OIF his Cobra was hit by a SAM while fighting in the battle for Fallujah, forcing an emergency landing. Although seriously wounded, he was able to land his helicopter and was immediately surrounded by a squad of Marines. He went on to serve two combat tours based at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. His weapon of choose is the M197 3-barreled 20 MM cannon, however he also carried the M4 Carbine and the M9 Pistol.
